Welcome to the Tulane University Student Health Insurance Enrollment or Waiver Application..
Full Time Students
to have health insurance, both to protect against unexpected high medical costs and provide access to quality care. This site contains information about the Tulane sponsored plan (Plan) with UnitedHealthCare Student Resources (UHCSR). The enrollment or waiver process must be completed on this site. Please follow the links below.
Full Time Student Enrollment or Waiver Provisions:
Tulane requires you to meet the enrollment or waiver requirement each academic year. It is important for you to make an informed health assessment each year; for instance, will you be participating in a study abroad program or do you only have coverage for emergencies? Will you “age off” of a parent’s policy at your twenty-sixth birthday?
The enrollment or waiver process is an annual one. You must make a selection each academic year.
The decision to enroll in or waive off the sponsored Plan is for the entire year, not just for the spring semester.
Full Time Students who do not respond by February 6, 2015 will be automatically enrolled and will be responsible for the premium.
Students may waive out of the sponsored Plan IF their current benefits/coverage is equal to or greater than the sponsored Plan.
Tulane University reserves the right to audit all waivers in order to ensure compliance with Tulane University insurance requirements. Please be sure to have a copy of your insurance policy as you may be asked to provide this documentation.
The UHCSR reserves the right to make the final determination regarding eligibility for initial and continued enrollment in this insurance Plan.
The Plan brochure, a full description of coverage, etc. can be found here:
